Support for Parents of Students with ADHD
ADHD coaching for parents helps families reduce stress, improve student independence, and build executive functioning skills for long-term success.
I work with families across high school, college transition, and early college independence to help students develop executive functioning skills that reduce reliance on parents as daily managers.

Are You Tired of Being the Executive Functioning System?
Many parents of students with ADHD find themselves carrying an exhausting mental load. You may be reminding your child about assignments, checking grades, monitoring deadlines, helping them stay organized, communicating with teachers, and constantly worrying about whether something important has slipped through the cracks. What often begins as support can slowly turn into a full-time job, leaving everyone feeling frustrated and exhausted.
ADHD coaching helps shift responsibility back to the student in a supportive and developmentally appropriate way. Rather than relying on parents to manage every detail, students learn the executive functioning skills needed to take ownership of their responsibilities. The goal isn't perfection. It's helping students become more independent, confident, and capable while reducing the stress and conflict that often develop within families when parents are forced to act as their child's planner, reminder system, and accountability partner.

Why Parents Work with Me
|
Ms. Katie has been instrumental in coaching both our children towards improving in both their personal lives and when they are in school. She has been a great help for us as parents, to navigate through topics and scenarios... many of which we had no previous experience. This journey to provide support our children with what we need could not have happened without Ms. Katie in our corner. |
School Advocacy & Educational ConsultingNavigating school systems can be overwhelming, especially when you're trying to ensure your child receives the support they need to succeed. Whether you're exploring accommodations for the first time, preparing for an IEP or 504 meeting, or struggling to communicate effectively with school personnel, it can be difficult to know where to start.
Educational consulting and advocacy services are designed to help families better understand their options and confidently navigate the educational process. I work with families to review educational records, prepare for meetings, understand accommodation plans, and identify strategies that support student success. My goal is to help parents become informed advocates while ensuring students receive the resources, accommodations, and support they need to reach their full potential both in and out of the classroom. |
Katie worked with our son before starting her advocacy business and was the first to help us spot some of his learning challenges. She’s very passionate and cares a lot. We loved working with her and recommend her to anyone looking for help identifying the best ways to support their child’s needs. |
